Hi Melanie and welcome to planDisney!
The holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World! I just love seeing all of the beautiful decorations around the theme parks,
Disney Resort hotels and
Disney Springs. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and walking down Main Street U.S.A. under the festive garlands and wreaths.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of my favorite special events at Walt Disney World and I try to attend every year. My kids love going around
Magic Kingdom Park and trying all of the various complimentary cookie flavors they offer. The snickerdoodle cookies are always my favorite! I attended the dessert party during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party last year with a few of my planDisney friends and I really enjoyed it, but knowing if it's worth it is really up to you. You do have to consider the amount of time that you'll be spending at the dessert party since the event is only 5 hours long. I enjoy it because it's a nice break to sit down, enjoy some exclusive sweet treats and drinks (including adult beverages for Guests 21 and over) and have a guaranteed viewing area for
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. The viewing area is not so crowded, which is a huge perk! If you choose not to attend the dessert party, you will still get as many complimentary cookies, hot cocoa and in the past, apple cider, to enjoy at the treat stations located all around Magic Kingdom.
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party is confirmed for this year and actually, reservations open tomorrow, so if you're interested in attending, plan on booking bright and early because this dessert party does tend to fill up quickly.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
