    I was wondering why the calendar shows hours 8-11 around Easter. What does this mean for the Extended Hours? Thanks.

    In general, when Disney predicts that the parks will be busier, they schedule more hours for the parks to be open.  Believe it or not, when the calendar shows a closing time of 11 pm, then the evening Extra Magic Hours in that park will extend until 2 am!  Similarly, if the park is scheduled to open at 8 am, then the morning Extra Magic Hours would begin at 7 am.

    During this time of year, and especially if you have kids, my advice would be to try to take advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours, but consider skipping the evening ones. The morning Extra Magic Hours tend to be uncrowded when they are this early in the day (yes, it also means you have to wake up early - yikes!), but the evening ones tend to be relatively more crowded. 

    With such long park hours, please also be careful to not over-extend your kids' schedules.  They certainly won't be able to be up from 7 am until 2 am at night, nor will they be able to wake up early, if they stay out until 2 am.  Our preference is: early to bed, and early to rise.  Fortunately when they are at WDW, kids generally tend to be a bit more excited about getting out of bed in the morning, so this works fairly well!  ºoº
