About Me

I grew up in a large family and was named after Bret Harte, a classic Gold Rush-era author. While I consider Wisconsin home, we currently reside in Illinois. I have lived and traveled to many places in the United States and around the globe. My travel experience has allowed me to learn many useful tips and tricks, as well as better understand many different cultures’ perspectives, opinions and beliefs.

About My Family

I have two daughters and a son. My wife of 20 years was raised in Lima, Peru, and now suffers through the cold winters with us in the suburbs of Chicago. We are proud to have a fully bilingual household, much of which I owe to my wife’s insistence that our children spend several months each year in Peru. At Walt Disney World, we all have very different tastes, but manage to make it all work harmoniously. My son and I love the action rides, my oldest daughter loves looking for hidden Mickeys and riding Spaceship Earth, our youngest would be happy riding it’s a small world all day, while my wife just enjoys watching everyone enjoy the magic.

About My Disney Experience

In case you are looking for specific help, I'll share some of my experience and interests...

Resorts we've stayed at: All Star Sports, All Star Movies, Pop Century, Fort Wilderness Cabins, Saratoga Springs, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, Beach Club, and Animal Kingdom Lodge

Some of my favorite Disney topics:  Pin trading, hidden Mickeys, Yehaa Bob (Bob Jackson), pressed pennies, tours (Behind the Seeds, Family Magic, Backstage Magic), Disney podcasts, planning parks per day, and creating touring plans (which attractions, in which order) for each day/morning

I look forward to leveraging my experience and interests to help your vacation be as special as possible.
