Hey there Brian! Welcome to planDisney.
You can absolutely use Disney eGift Cards in the same way as regular plastic Disney Gift Cards. Most merchandise and dining locations will have a scanner that can scan the bar code on your egift card. I was able to add my egift card to my mobile wallet so it was handy to use. One thing to be aware of, the card won't show the remaining balance in your mobile wallet, but every time you use your card your remaining balance will be shown on the bottom of your receipt. You can also use a Disney Gift Card as payment when using
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. I entered the ID numbers from my gift card as a note in my phone so I could copy and paste the number when mobile ordering.
Disney eGift Cards can also be used to purchase delectable dishes available at the
outdoor food studios during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
I like to purchase Disney Gift Cards occasionally throughout the year as sort of a "savings plan" for my vacation, especially when I can pick one up at a warehouse club for a slight discount. Did you know you can manage your gift cards at
disneygiftcard.com? You'll be able to check balances on your cards, view transaction history, and also transfer balances from one card to another.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you prepare for your upcoming visit. Wishing you a magical vacation!
