Hello Summer!
It sure does feel like Summer year-round in Florida! Even when you arrive in February, you will find the weather to be hot and tropical, which I think I will enjoy when I’m in the cold Northeast but when I arrive, I find I regret it. I always say though, if you are going to be hot and sweating you may as well do it in Walt Disney World with a
Dole Whip in your hand!
Walt Disney World has brought back many of the water refill stations in the past year that had been closed or removed during the pandemic. It is a wonderful resource to now have back and they are smartly designed for the quick re-filling of water bottles with minimal mess. Unfortunately, there is no map where these are located available right now. I spoke with a Cast Member who said that usually the drinking fountains are located outside most restrooms. You can use your
My Disney Experience App to help map you to those restrooms once inside the park. In addition, most quick-service locations will have water dispensers at the beverage island or condiment station. You can also ask the Cast Members at the counter. Quick tip, I always ask for a few cups of water as sometimes they serve them in small cups, and you are always allowed to ask if they can provide a large cup. Sometimes, if available, they can accommodate you. I have in the past just asked for a cup of ice so that my drink melts slowly and stays ice cold throughout the day.
Mobile Order Food and Beverage Ordering makes it easy to just ask the Cast Member at the pickup window for cups of water with your food at no cost.
A quick survey of past planDisney responses led to me to fellow
Panelist Doug who
curated a list of locations in each park that you can use as a guide. Remember, these locations could change, and even more water refill stations could be found when you arrive as Walt Disney World is always improving and changing.
Don’t forget that the Parks Cast Members will be your best resource as they will be able to point you in the right direction.
Stay hydrated and enjoy your time in the Parks!
