I was wondering if there are any "vale" rooms for families of 5. Our children are 6, 5 & now 3, and I do not want to get two rooms or a suite. It seems like everything is designed for families of four. Any ideas?

I have a family of five too. I understand your position. The WDW value resort rooms do sleep five people if one of them is an infant in a crib, but unfortunately when you have three kids travel does get more expensive as they get older. I have found this to be true not only at WDW, but everywhere else I've traveled as well. My family's standard mode of travel now that we have three tweenage girls is to get two connecting rooms anywhere we go. We need that just for the extra bathroom alone ;-)

If you want to stay on WDW property with a family of five your only choices involve spending a bit more money than the basic value room. The All Star Music value resort does have Family Suites that sleep up to six people and also include two bathrooms and a small kitchenette. There are rooms at Port Orleans, a moderate resort, that will sleep 5, with one child on a pull-out trundle bed. And most of the deluxe resorts will sleep five in a standard room, but those would be a more expensive option. If none of these options appeal to you, your best bet may be to look into staying at a nearby non-Disney hotel. If you really want to stay at WDW, then I suggest that you travel during the Disney value seasons. Prices at these times of year can be substanially lower than peak season. To discussion pricing options, you should call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY.

    Good luck!
