Hello, Tina! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
While the latest update of the
My Disney Experience mobile app does have allergy menus for some
Walt Disney World Resort restaurants,
Teppan Edo and
Tokyo Dining at
Epcot’s World Showcase are not currently included on the list.
If you’d like to know about gluten free options at either of these locations, I would recommend reaching out to the
Disney Special Diets team via email at
special.diets@disneyworld.com. When you make your reservation online or through your My Disney Experience mobile app, you can also click the “Add a Special Request” button where you can specify Wheat/Gluten as an issue for your dining party. Additionally, if you make a dining reservation over the phone by calling (407) WDW-DINE, the Cast Member who secures your reservation can make a note of your request. This request will be indicated on your reservation, and your ticket will be stamped with a special notation when you check in at the restaurant. Your server can direct you to items on the menu that may suit your needs, but you can also always ask to speak with a chef at any Walt Disney World Resort table service restaurant or a Coordinator at any quick service restaurant.
In my experience, the Special Diets team at
Walt Disney World Resort has been fabulous to work with. While menu options are always subject to change, and although suppliers can change too, in my experience each restaurant has had at least one gluten free option for Guests. If you don’t see something listed on the menu while you’re there, don’t be afraid to ask for options that might not be on the menu. You might be pleasantly surprised!
Enjoy your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Tina, and please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you.
