When I'm not using my Gold Level Master Sorcerer status to help Merlin defeat villains at Magic Kingdom Park, you'll find me astride a mountain banshee gliding through the Valley of Mo'ara, inhaling the scent of Fiji while Soarin' Around the World, defending the galaxy as a member of the Rebel Alliance, scuttling along the courses of various runDisney races, or savoring one of the multiple delectable vegan and vegetarian treats available at Walt Disney World Resort. Although I spend most days immersed in picas and pixels as a high school journalism and media studies teacher, I also love bringing pixie-dusted moments to friends, family, students and colleagues by helping them find the extra magic in their Walt Disney World Resort vacations. In between my visits to Orlando, I also enjoy yoga, running, reading, photography, watching movies and spending time with my awesome family.
About My Family
I'm the wife of an Air Force veteran turned IT guy, mom to my mini-me princess and bonus mom to two adult stepsons (one of whom is on the Autism spectrum). My husband, daughter and I are Annual Passholders and make the seven-hour drive to Orlando at least every other month. We enjoy our time spent at Walt Disney World Resort more than any other vacation destination because it allows us to have fun and bond as a family by enjoying a wide range of attractions, shows, activities and dining experiences. We also enjoy running, lounging by the pool, cooking vegan and vegetarian meals, and experiencing new adventures together as often as we can.
About My Disney Experience
I first experienced the magic of Walt Disney World Resort in 1983 when my maternal grandparents took me and my cousin on an epic road trip to celebrate the recently-opened Epcot. As a 9-year-old, I was in absolute awe of the attractions and shows at both Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot, and I vividly remember my first encounters with Peter Pan's Flight, the Country Bear Jamboree, Spaceship Earth and the now-defunct Kitchen Kabaret. I didn't get to return to Walt Disney World Resort until I was a young adult, but I have made it a regular vacation destination since having a family of my own. We became Annual Passholders in 2016, and have visited multiple times per year since then. We recently added the Disneyland Resort to our Disney repertoire, too, but the Walt Disney World Resort remains our home away from home.
