Hiya, Rachel! How thrilling that you’ll be on one of the first
5-Night Bahamian cruises on the Disney Destiny this December, so I’m glad you thought to sail by planDisney with your question.
While I wish I could tell you all that’s in store for your adventure on the high seas, those details haven’t been announced yet. We typically see information about theme nights and entertainment appear about six months prior to sailing, so feel free to circle back with us around mid-July. In the meantime, make sure to download the free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app so you can watch your cruise countdown with the help of the cutest Disney emoticons.
You’ll be sailing on one of my favorite itineraries from one of my favorite ports, so there is a lot you can start planning out right now. First of all, I recommend flying into
Fort Lauderdale the day before you depart so you don’t have to worry about flight issues the day of embarkation, and so you can enjoy some of the
fabulous restaurants and attractions around the beach. I also love that you’ll get to experience both of Disney’s beach destinations:
Castaway Cay &
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Plus, you’ll get not one, but TWO days at sea to be one of the first to experience all the amenities of one of Disney’s newest ships in the fleet.
I’m actually hoping to sail on the
Disney Destiny around the same time, and I can’t wait to watch the new Disney Hercules show after seeing all the previews on social media. Speaking of Hercules, I’m ready to get my muse on with a specialty drink at Café Megara, located just off the Grand Hall, and see what character art will appear on my daily matcha!
I know you’ll go the distance with your crew once December is here. In the meantime, if you think of anything else we can help with, don’t hesitate to soar back to us here at
planDisney!
Embrace the magic,
Sami
