Hi wondering if someone can help me figure this out. My sister wants to buy my kids ages 12 and 9 tickets to DW using her FL discount when we go visit. Does she have to have a park ticket as well or will she be able to pick them up/activate them for us

Hi Ashley and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for sending us your question!

Your sister will be in the running for aunt of the year after gifting your children theme park tickets to the Walt Disney World Resort!  She can buy Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets for them at Florida Resident prices. She just needs to show Proof of Florida Residency to activate any discounted passes for the children, who are under the age of 18.

Your sister does not need to purchase a ticket for herself, although it might be so much fun if she joins you! Florida Resident theme park tickets can be purchased online and picked up/ activated at will call or they can be purchased at any of the four theme park ticket windows. They can also be activated at the Guest Services location at Disney Springs.

Another good gift option is a Disney Gift Card. The magical dollars can be used toward theme park tickets, Disney Resort hotel stays, for merchandise and at restaurants throughout the resort. Either way you look at it, your children will enjoy her gift!

Ashley, I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any more planning questions, please feel free to come back to see us. Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
