Jambo Mackenzie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're so glad you stopped by with your question.
You're in for a
wild time at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! I love taking a crossbody bag or medium-sized backpack into the theme parks with me, so I have all of my park touring essentials at my fingertips.
Backpacks (with or without wheels) should not be larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. That being said, I've never encountered any issues when trying to ride the attractions with my medium-sized backpack at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Some attractions feature a dedicated storage compartment in the ride vehicle. When riding thrill attractions, I usually stow my bag on the floor of the ride vehicle. On some of the slower rides such as Kilimanjaro Safaris, I prefer to hold my bag on my lap.
Lockers are also available to rent at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Although I prefer to keep my backpack with me for easier accessibility, you may decide to store yours in a locker throughout the day.
Consider having lunch or dinner at
Satu'li Canteen, located in Pandora - The World of Avatar. This popular Quick-Service dining location is a "must do" when visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and the delicious Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse is not to be missed!
I hope this information is helpful, Mackenzie. Let us know if you have any additional questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!
Happy Planning,
Jodie
