Wondering if I can show up to check in to my resort in my wedding dress for my honeymoon. We are heading to disney directly after the ceremony. And is there any special things disney does for newly weds? I have the celebration on my reservation. Tips?!

    Congratulations, Hailley!!

What an absolutely magical way to celebrate your wedding day! I love that you are going to dive straight into a magical honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort.

So first things first! You are absolutely welcome to show up at your Resort hotel in your wedding dress after your ceremony. Cinderella would definitely approve! Feel free to take pictures with your personal phones, but know that commercial photographers are not allowed on the property unless they're one of the official Disney photographers. But! Speaking of official, you can book a special Capture Your Moment session in Magic Kingdom (no wedding attire, unfortunately) or a Premier Portrait Session for an early morning wedding photo shoot in the parks. I love the look of wedding photos in Pandora - they are gorgeous!

Once you are well-rested after your party, it's time to celebrate the start of your new adventure together! Head to the Front Desk of your Resort, or Guest Relations in any of the Theme Parks, to grab complimentary "Just Married" buttons and then wear them everywhere! You will be delighted to see how many Cast Members and Guests wish you congratulations on your new marriage! If you want to go a bit further, grab a pair of wedding-themed Mickey Ears to wear with the buttons.

Since it's your honeymoon, you've got to celebrate! Sanaa is one of our favorite restaurants in the 'World, and having animal friends as your dinner companions is super special. Another fantastic option is California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Booking a later dinner will give you the perfect view of Magic Kingdom Fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, I would book a Fireworks Dessert Cruise. Nothing says romance like a private boat, sweet treats, and a nighttime spectacular!

When you're ready to wind down, enjoy s'mores and a complimentary Movie Under the Stars at your Resort. Or! Book a couples massage at the spa, or a cabana poolside for catered indulgence. Your honeymoon is the perfect excuse to treat each other! If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. I wish you all the best with your Happily Ever After.
