Hi Sharon!
Welcome to planDisney! We just returned from a
Disney Vacation Club stay and even though we had
plenty of room in our villa, my teenage boys simply do not appreciate sharing a bed with each other, or their little sister. Sometimes, having your own sleeping space is just more magical!
Depending on location, some Disney Resort Collection Hotels do offer rollaway beds or air mattresses on a first-come, first-served basis. To the best of my knowledge,
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa does not offer rollaway beds but does have air mattresses. While these options can be used to allow for more flexible sleeping arrangements, please know they cannot be used to increase room occupancy.
I would contact Disney Vacation Club Member Services if this is a DVC stay, or Disney directly if you booked this room with cash, and add this request to your reservation. I would also ask at the front desk upon arrival at the resort. Please know that this is only a request and it cannot be guaranteed. If they are not able to accommodate you, you can always purchase or bring your own air mattress from home.
The newly remodeled Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa feature a queen bed and a queen-sized, pull-down Murphy Bed. My family finds the Murphy Beds to be much more comfortable than the typical sleeper sofa. Most rooms at the resort have been remodeled and the renovation is scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer or early fall. If you are traveling soon and you think the Murphy Bed will be a better choice than the pull-out couch, you can also request a renovated room. Again, Cast Members always do their best to meet requests, but they are never guaranteed.
I hope you find this information helpful, Sharon, and I hope you have a pain-free and restful sleep at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa!
