Ahoy, Shani!
It is great to hEAR from you again! I'm so glad you asked this question because I love to talk about
dining while sailing with Disney Cruise Line. I don't enjoy cooking at home, so having someone else prepare meals for my family while being served by an amazing dining team is my idea of a vacation! Disney Cruise Line not only does this, but they make the experience unique by offering
rotational dining. On each of their
four ships, they have three main dining venues that Guests visit on a rotational system each evening. If your sailing is more than three nights, you'll have the opportunity to dine in some of the restaurants more than once.
Disney Cruise Line will assign each stateroom a dining rotation schedule that you'll find out when you check-in at the cruise terminal. It will be listed by the first initial of the restaurant name on the front of your "Key to the World" card along with your dining time (Main is at 5:45 p.m. while Second is usually around 8:15 p.m.) and table number. Disney Cruise Line makes it very easy to know where to go with the designated times, restaurant locations, and tables. The other good news I have for you is that you'll get to know your dining team very well because they will rotate with you each evening! We've had some phenomenal servers over the yEARs, and we enjoy the level of service they provide when we see them every night.
The other unique aspect of rotational dining is the beautifully themed restaurants on all four vessels in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. I could spend the entire meal looking at the attention to detail in each one, and many times I do! Some of the venues are interactive, and of course, they all tell a story, so I hope you'll take some time to enjoy these incredible settings while you eat. And I can't talk about dining without mentioning the fabulous menu items that you'll have to choose from each night. Sometimes I have a hard time making decisions with what to select, especially when it comes to dessert, so I just order two! It's a vacation after all!
Shani, thank you again for sending in another great question. We look forward to hEARing from you again real soon.
Nancy
