Hello! Just wondering if all of the room renovations will be done at Pop Century by August? Also, do all of the rooms have a bath tub/shower, or are some only a walk-in shower? Thanks for your expertise! Just want to reflect the need for a tub or my rsvp!

Hi, Monica! I absolutely love the fun atmosphere of Disney's Pop Century Resort, so it is one of my favorite places to stay. The guest rooms there have been undergoing a bit of sprucing up recently and I cannot wait for you to experience them! The new floors and lighter color scheme really give them a crisp, clean feel, making the vibrant Mickey Mouse decorations POP! In my opinion, the best part of the refurbishment is that the full-size beds were replaced with a queen-size bed and a pull-down queen-size Murphy style bed. Yes! Every time I think about that, I want to jump up and dance!

I am actually planning to stay at this resort tomorrow night, so I have been checking around to see how the everything has progressed. At this time, Disney's Pop Century Resort is nearing completion of its guest room refurbishment. The 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s sections of the resort are done and work is underway in the 50s section. Some of the buildings in that section are actually done, so I believe you may be able to find your way to one of these amazing rooms when you visit in August 2018. Some of the updated rooms do have a walk-in shower with sliding door instead of the tub/shower combination.

Since the tub option is important to your family, I recommend you make a room request for this. Simply give a Disney Resort Hotel Reservations Cast Member a call and ask that this be noted on your reservation. Please understand that this is merely a request and cannot be guaranteed. If you check in at the resort and find that you do not have the tub/shower combination, check with a Cast Member at the front desk to see if you can be moved to one. They are always so wonderful at trying everything they can to make our stays practically perfect in every way.

Thanks for popping in today and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
