Hello! I was wondering what rides/shows will be closed during my trip in January. Im visiting CA Adventure on Jan. 9 and DLR on Jan. 10 and want to plan accordingly. Also, Tinkerbells Meet and Greet is currently down, will it be returning by then? Thanks!

    Hey there Rebekah,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question! It's always great to hear from fellow Arizonans!

I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be taking a trip to the Disneyland Resort just after the start of the year - this should be a great time to visit. The Holiday season will have just ended so while there might be some attractions closed for refurbishment, I would expect the crowd levels to be a bit lighter as well.

I would recommend checking the Hours & Events schedule as you get closer to the dates of your visit. This page shows you the planned schedule for entertainment, shows, park hours, and more - including attractions that are planned to be closed for refurbishment. You can use the date selector by clicking "Change Date" near the top left, use the toggle near the top right to switch between Day View and 5-Day View, and select the areas of the Disneyland Resort that you'd like to view with the filter buttons.

Near the bottom, you'll see "Closed for Refurbishment," which you can click to expand and see if there are any planned closures for the date(s) selected. This section currently shows that Pixie Hollow is currently closed for refurbishment, which looks to be the case as far out as the schedule shows at the time that I'm answering your question.

Note that this schedule is made available about six weeks out from the current date, so you'll still need to wait another week or so to see the dates of your trip. However, keep in mind that even if Pixie Hollow is still closed by the time of your visit that you can still see a full list of character experiences available around the park through the Disneyland Resort mobile app! Just go to the map tab, tap the "Attractions" toggle near the top middle of your screen and select "Characters." This has been a helpful way for me and my family when we visit and really want to see specific characters.

Thanks again for your question, Rebekah! I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
