Hi Tracy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love arriving at the theme parks early in the morning. I've found that the crowds are generally at their lowest then, and my whole family is excited for another day of fun at the most magical place on earth. While the vast majority of attractions open as soon as the theme park opens, there may be some that open a bit later. For example, Country Bear Jamboree and Tom Sawyer's Island are a couple of attractions at
Magic Kingdom Park that often have operating hours that vary from the rest of theme park. I would encourage you to pick up a Times Guide when you arrive in the morning. It will let you know if any attractions are opening a bit later or closing earlier in the day.
The play area at
Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a wonderful way to keep kids entertained while they wait for their turn on this classic Disney attraction. However, if you visit during a slower period, the Cast Members do close the area simply because the wait times are low enough that it's not needed.
Please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip, Tracy, as we're always happy to help. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
