Greetings Jessica!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am a former Bostonian, having transplanted to Florida a little over a year ago, and I miss something about Massachusetts every day. Except for the weather, especially not right now! It sounds like you have a great trip coming up, and I love that you are preparing for the Florida weather, which compared to Massachusetts is HOT, HOT, HOT!
Walt Disney World’s current signature parade is
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom Park. From Flynn Rider’s smolder to Maleficent’s fire-breathing dragon, you are sure to be visually amazed! While there aren’t great indoor options for a full view of the parade, one of my favorite spots is in between Liberty Square and Frontierland, right in front of Country Bear Jamboree. You get a bit of shade, and you’re right across from a snack stand that sells Churros, which are THE reason why I return time and time again!
Depending on when you arrive, the second level of Main Street Station is also a prime shaded viewing spot. Being above the crowds looking up towards Cinderella Castle is an experience like no other! The Walt Disney World Railroad is temporarily closed during renovations, so check your time guides on arrival.
If it’s stormtroopers that you are looking for, head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to watch March of the First Order. Stay clear of the enemy in the shade at
The Trolley Car Café, otherwise known as Starbucks! We like to grab an iced tea and stand on their covered patio to watch Captain Phasma and her squad march by.
Jessica, I wish you much pixie-dust while finding your perfect viewing location!
