Hello. I was wondering if I can request a cot in a 1 bedroom villa. I don't want my DS 16 and DD 14 to have to sleep on the pullout together. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Stephanie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How exciting that you are planning your next vacation already. Planners are near and dear to my heart!

Currently, Walt Disney World Resort hotels do not offer cots in any of their guest rooms. This is for safety and fire code issues.  I do however, have a couple of ideas for you. As the mom of four kids, I totally understand about wanting to offer them each their own space. We call my middle son “the kicker” and therefore, no one wants to bunk with him!

There are several types of Deluxe Villas that offer more flexible sleeping arrangements. At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa there is a pull-down bunk in addition to the sleeper sofa in 1 Bedroom Villas.  At Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, and at Disney’s Old Key West Resort the 1 Bedroom Villas all offer a sleeper chair as well as the sleeper sofa. Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge offer the pull-down bunk for additional flexibility. Each of these rooms will sleep up to 5 plus a child under 3 in a crib.

I hope this information helps you as you prepare for your next vacation, and that the sleeping arrangements meet the approval of your teens! Happy Planning!
