Hi Maria!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We all want to get the best value for our vacation dollar, so this is a great question!
Currently, the cost for purchasing a regularly priced vacation either as a package or as individual elements is the same. There are however, a few things to consider when deciding the best way to book your vacation. If you are planning on purchasing the Disney Dining Plan for your stay, it must be purchased as part of a package that includes both a resort room and theme park tickets. Because of this, I think it is easiest to purchase the entire package at once. If you book a room only at this point, then later decide to add theme park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan, it can certainly be done, it just involves rebooking the vacation. The exception to this rule is if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member staying on points. In this case, you may add the Disney Dining Plan without theme park tickets.
I do recommend keeping an eye on the
Walt Disney World Special Offers Page to see if there are any package discounts for your dates. While I don’t think there is a special offer for your arrival date at this time, new discounts may be added later, so it is always a good idea to check back periodically. If a new discount becomes available after you have booked, and there is still availability, you can inquire if your vacation can be rebooked with the new discount.
I hope this information is helpful as you book your upcoming vacation. Let me know what other questions you have as you are planning, as I love helping fellow Guests add magic to each and every vacation!
Have a magical day!
