I was wondering if there is any planned Skyliner maintenance for 2025?

    Hello Tara!

Welcome to planDisney! The Disney Skyliner is such a delightful way to travel around the Parks. I had such doubts when its construction was announced but it has become a very efficient and pleasant way to journey in the magic. My favorite part about them is that they continuously load people during operation and have lovely character screens.

Now, to keep these gondalas smoothly running, Walt Disney World Resort likes to take approximately one week each year to do routine refurbishment. Usually, these repair weeks where the Disney Skyliner is shut down occur in January. There are no announcements for next year (2025) but most likely there will be one coming soon. In the past, we have seen the Disney Skyliner closed on the following dates:

    - January 24 to January 28, 2021
    - January 23 to January 28, 2022
    - January 22 to January 29, 2023
    - January 16 to January 27, 2024 (This was a longer period that closed certain routes at a time but, my planDisney friend Prince saw that it opened earlier than planned!)

I hope that these prior dates help you in your planning! Know that when the Disney Skyliner is not operating, there are busses to take you where you need to go. You will not be left behind Tara!

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
