Hello there Lisette Jane and welcome to planDisney!

Though we're still in the early months of 2024, I say it's never too early to plan ahead and it's great to see that you're already charting a course for your adventures in 2025! Now while there hasn't been any news officially released to guests nor anything I can share at the current time about what they can expect for Disney Skyliner refurbishment next year, here's a few bits of knowledge that I'm happy to bestow upon you that may be useful in your planning:

    • The Disney Skyliner typically undergoes refurbishment during a time of year where it's less likely to cause a lot of disruption for the crowds that descend on more popular periods like American Spring Break, summer holidays or the festivities surrounding Halloween, Christmas and New Year's Eve.
    • In previous years, planDisney Panelist Mike observed that the Disney Skyliner was closed from January 22 through January 29 in 2023, and from January 22 through January 28 in 2022
    • Earlier this year, the refurbishment closure was scheduled to impact guests from January 16 through January 27; however it actually reopened a little earlier on the 26th of January instead! I was among the folks and families who were pleasantly surprised to see the gondolas in motion once again as I exited EPCOT the evening prior, and it was a great way to surprise and delight everyone staying at Disney Resort Hotels along its route.
I hope that this is helpful, Lisette Jane; bear in mind that though there appears to be a trend in the dates chosen for refurbishment there can never really be any guarantee as to whether this will necessarily be the same in 2025. That said, in my experience this year certain segments of the Disney Skyliner were operational sooner, such as the route from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, as well as the connection to Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. (Prior to this, complimentary resort bus transportation was temporarily available for guests staying at these locations.) I do however recommend keeping an eye on announcements around October to have a better idea of when they expect to schedule any closures!

Here's hoping you won't experience any delayed flights on the Disney Skyliner on your next Disney adventure!
