Hi, Was wondering if outside packed lunches are allowed in the parks?

    Hi Lyndsey,
I'm so glad you stopped by to see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is so fantastic; staying within your budget is really the icing on the cake, isn't it?  Bringing food into the park can really help you stay on budget, plus you can ensure that everyone can eat what they like and have a meal that is within their dietary needs.  I often have my kids bring snacks in their backpacks, as they tend to be bottomless pits that inevitably get hungry when we're standing in line for an attraction.  Can you relate?

To answer your question, yes, you absolutely may bring packed lunches into the parks but be aware that there are a few Park Rules.  While I won't post them all for you, here are some highlights that are relevant to your question.  First, no glass containers.  Second, your cooler or backpack must be no larger than 24" long by 15" wide by 18" high.  Third, please know that all bags are subject to search prior to entering the park.  There are lockers available for rent at the park entrance should you prefer not to tote your lunch around with you all day.  You are welcome to use any table and chairs within the park to enjoy your meal.

Lyndsey, please come and visit us again with any additional planning questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
