Hey Ashley! I hope you're having a fantastic day!
I love exploring the
Downtown Disney District with my family or friends. It's a fun, outdoor shopping area within a short walking distance from
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, and has tons of
dining locations,
stores, and
activities.
Similar to other shopping districts, you will not need a ticket or to pay a fee to enter the Downtown Disney District. If you plan on visiting a theme park with a single-park ticket, you can definitely leave the theme park to visit the Downtown Disney District, then return to the same park. When you first enter the theme park, a Cast Member will take a picture of you, so when you reenter the park later that day, they can confirm the ticket belongs to you.
The Downtown Disney District has so many delicious places to eat, so I totally understand why you would want to grab a meal or two there. One of my favorite spots in the Downtown Disney District is the
Uva Bar & Cafe. I've always had a great experience here. Why I continue to come back year after year is because I love the outdoor setting, the food is great (especially the Sea Salt Garlic Fries), and they have an impressive cocktail menu.
OH--and I cannot forget to mention dessert! If you have a sweet tooth and you're looking for something delicious to grab while in the Downtown Disney District, I HIGHLY recommend ordering some beignets from
Ralph Brennen's Jazz Kitchen Express, which is a small shop located next door to the main restaurant. These pillowy and fluffy donut-like treats are warm and delightful. I even heard a rumor that the recipe comes from Princess Tiana herself!
Ashley, please have the most magical day at Disneyland Resort!
Happy eating,
Lola
