Hi, I was just wondering if you are not staying at a Disney Hotel can you enter the hotels to eat and do activities. Thanks

    chEARs Oskar,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You live in my most favorite city in the World! We love it so much that your town and my daughter share a name!

Walt Disney World Resorts are my jam! To me, they are as much fun as the Parks and attractions, and you can absolutely visit them as a Guest. The hotel properties are themed to perfection, and you will find some of the most delicious food in their restaurants.

While each of the Resorts has unique attributes, let me highlight some of my top choices for food and activities. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort is hands down my favorite for restaurants! Sanaa is my family’s go-to restaurant, and Jiko - The Cooking Place is fantastic for date night. In fact, my husband and I have one planned to sample their limited-edition Lion-King themed meal! Once you have eaten, make sure to visit the animals. Over 200 birds and hoofed animals call Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge home, and the savanna overlook is a must-do. Make sure to pick up a Wildlife Field Guide from the Lobby Concierge to help you identify each of the species.

For activities, I think the best Resort is Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. There you can test your archery skills, go horseback riding, take a segway on a Wilderness Back Trail Adventure, or rent kayaks to glide through the waterways of Walt Disney World Resort. Honestly, the adventure options are endless here! The Resort also hosts Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue, which is rip-roaring good fun and serves some of the most delicious fried chicken!

If you have an artist amongst you, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort hosts an Art of Disney Animation class, and you leave with your masterpiece. Also, Disney’s Port Orleans - French Quarter has Paint by the Lagoon, which helps you create your own Disney-themed art! If food is your favorite art form, the adults should head to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where Victoria & Albert’s creates edible masterpieces, or the whole gang can eat with favorite Disney Pals at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Oskar, I hope this sampling of the Resorts was helpful. Please don’t hesitate to come back with additional questions!
