Hi! Wondering if there is a military discount for combat veterans? My son-in-law did 2 tours in Afghanistan, but is not currently active. Thank you!

    Hi Dena,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for joining us and submitting your question.  Please give your son-in-law our sincere thanks for his service; we are a military family also and greatly appreciate his service.

The current rules for Military Promotional Tickets state that they are for Eligible Service Members, which is defined as those that are active duty, reserve or retired with appropriate ID (usually either a CAC or a retired ID issued by the US Department of Defense), Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, or Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  Spouses may also purchase tickets in lieu of the military member with appropriate ID.  If your son-in-law currently does not have a military ID, then he would not qualify for the discounted tickets.

Dena, I hope this doesn't dim your excitement for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I hope you have a wonderful time and make many fantastic memories.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
