I was wondering if the Mickey's very Merry Christmas party is worth the extra money? Will I still be able to see the light show if I decide not to spend the extra on the party tickets?

    Hi Victoria!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is my absolute favorite event at Walt Disney World! I definitely think it's worth the money because you get so much for your money. There are cookies and hot cocoa throughout the park, special character meet n greets and snow on Main Street. The park will close to all other guests at 7:00 p.m. that night and only guests holding tickets to MVMCP will get to stay. This means less crowds and more time for attractions. There are also characters you can meet during the party that you can't meet during any other time of year. We were able to meet all seven dwarfs one year! Of course you can also enjoy the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes. You won't be able to experience any of those benefits if you do not purchase a ticket to the party. You will be able to see Holiday Wishes from California Grill, the beach at Polynesian and other spots outside of the park, just as you can with Wishes, but it does miss that special something if you don't get to experience the entire party.

While you are there in December, don't miss seeing all the beautifully themed Christmas trees throughout the parks and resorts. You also won't want to miss the huge gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
