MagicBand you ordered isn’t what you were expecting. Our friends chose those MagicBands this summer for their trip and they are sparkly!
I am assuming that these are MagicBands you purchased using the discounted pre-order option with your
Disney Resort Collection Hotel reservation. Unfortunately, MagicBand purchases cannot be refunded or exchanged. Once the order is placed, that MagicBand is automagically linked to you in My Disney Experience. While the MagicBand can be deactivated, it cannot be completely unassociated from you and associated with someone else, which means it can’t be resold to another Guest.
I know our friends who chose the sparkly MagicBands this summer really enjoyed them and weren’t bothered by the scratchiness while wearing them. While they can’t be returned or exchanged, the other option would be to purchase a completely new MagicBand and link it to your My Disney Experience Account or bring a MagicBand from a prior trip. MagicBands are associated with a specific Guest and not with a resort reservation or trip. Any MagicBand associated to you with a working battery will work on any of your vacations! Alternately, you can skip the MagicBand altogether and either request a Key to the World Card at your resort front desk, or you can use the new
Disney MagicMobile Service to access your Disney Theme Park Ticket on your smartphone or smart device!
