Hi Lindsey!
Welcome to planDisney!
I’m a huge fan of a split stay! I love switching the vibe halfway through my trip, and I love being able to plan my park days around which park is closest to my resort.
Unfortunately, the biggest downside to a split stay is that you’ll have separate advanced dining reservation and Enchanting Extra booking windows.
For example, if you’ll be staying at two different
Disney World resorts, your first
advanced dining reservation booking window will open at 6 AM Eastern, 60 days prior to your check-in date at your first resort. During that booking window, you’ll be able to book dining from your check-in date through your check-out date of that first resort.
Then, 60 days prior to your second resort’s check-in date, you’ll be able to book dining for the rest of your stay.
Enchanting Extras will be the same, except those usually open at 12 AM Eastern instead of 6 AM!
The good news is that, from my experience, you will not have two separate booking windows when it comes to Lightning Lanes. Unlike dining and Enchanting Extras, you should be able to book
Lightning Lane services for your entire trip once your booking window opens at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to the check-in date at your first resort.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us!
