Am wondering how long I could wait in guest pick up area? I am uncomfortable driving in the dark and am suppose to pick up my family between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm either the Wild Kingdom or Epcot Center. May I wait for maybe an hour?

Hi there, Majorie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out and ask your Walt Disney World Resort question!

Both Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom have drop-off and pick-up areas available for Guests receiving rides to the parks. Generally, these areas are reserved for quick stops and do not have areas available for parking for an extended period of time. That being said, I may have a couple of alternative ideas that may assist you in picking up your family!

The first would be for your family to take Bus Transportation to a Disney Resort hotel and then to Disney Springs! Disney Springs offers Guests complimentary parking so you would be able to wait in this area for as long as needed. This would also give you the opportunity to explore Disney Springs while waiting for your family to arrive!

Another option would be to take the Minnie Van Service to a designated pick-up location such as Disney Springs. This personal ride service transports Guests across Walt Disney World Resort and may be reserved and paid for from the Lyft app on your smartphone. Using the Minnie Van Service would allow your family to arrive at your pick-up destination quicker than Bus Transportation and remove the need to transfer between buses!

I hope this information has given you a few ideas for assisting your family during their visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  Please let us know if we can provide you with any further information!
