Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with my friend's MagicBand+ I want to link her ticket to her MagicBand+ so she can purchase Genie+ for herself.

Hey Howdy Hey Dan and welcome to planDisney!

MagicBand+ is a great addition to your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. I love having everything from my Theme Park Tickets, Disney Collections Resorts room key and charging privileges all from my wrist. Not to mention all the new additions to being part of the story in the parks with the ability to interact with so much! Thank you for stopping by with your question about linking your friend's Theme Park Ticket to her account so she can access it with her MagicBand+ on your upcoming vacation. I will be happy to give you more information on this process.

Before you link your friend's ticket to her account, you need to check 2 things first. The first thing, you need to make sure that you both have linked My Disney Experience accounts. Log into yours and go to the "My Family & Friends List" from your main menu. Make sure that she is linked to your account and on this list. If not, there should be a blue button at the top to "Add a Guest". Follow the prompts so you both are linked and then on to step 2!

Next, you are going to want to go to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section of your account. Once there, scroll to "My Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" and click on that heading. You should see all of the tickets that you have in your account and the individuals they may be assigned to or not. If you were the one to purchase tickets, you should have them here. You should see a drop-down menu to reassign tickets to a member in your party and you should be able to select your friend's account now that you are linked. Step 2 is complete!

If you follow those steps Dan, you should be all set for your trip later this year. As always, technology works great until it does not. If you do have issues from here, I would call Disney and speak to a Cast Member about linking your fiend's ticket to her account. They have Magical capabilities that will get this done quickly if need be! If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
