Welcome aboard, Erika! You sound a lot like me - a planner! Glad to hear you're getting ready to set sail with Disney Cruise Line, and you're prepping everything to make your cruise practically perfect in every way!
I'm happy to let you know that there are plenty of hangers in each stateroom closet. There have been at least 20 to 24 hangers in the closets each time I've sailed. The closets are really spacious, and separated into two sections, each with about 10 or 12 hangers. Some of the hangers have clips for hanging pants, and some are just regular hangers with a bottom bar. You're certainly welcome to bring more hangers of your own, but I wouldn't recommend doing so, as that will take up precious space in your luggage, and you'll need room on the way home for cruise souvenirs! If you find that your family needs a few more hangers, just ask your stateroom host and he or she will be happy to provide you with extras.
I've always found that our family of four has had more than enough space in the
Disney Cruise Line staterooms to unpack our luggage. Between hanging up all of our nicer clothing and pants, to the plentiful shelves and drawers throughout the stateroom for our folded clothing, we've actually had a drawer or shelf left empty on occasion. The beds are also a nice height which leaves plenty of space beneath for luggage storage. We have hard shelled luggage and even those suitcases slide right under the bed and out of the way. Don't forget that there are
self-service laundry rooms around the ship, so if you're on a longer sailing, you can do a load or two mid-week. Laundry soap is available in the laundry rooms, but I usually grab a sample size detergent from a store at home and pack that.
Have fun planning, Erika!
