Hi Laura!
Welcome back to planDisney! It looks like you're
Almost There. . .almost to your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! My family often chooses to have groceries delivered to our resort and I'm happy to share with you that it's a pretty simple process!
Laura, groceries can be delivered and held at Bell Services at your resort subject to their
mail services policy. The most important note of this policy is that Bell Services cannot accept any items that require proof of ID or age verification - you would have to meet the vendor directly for that delivery. When placing an order, I am always careful to note the full name of my resort as well as the lead guest's name on the reservation and our arrival date. All of this information will help make sure your delivery is ready and waiting for you! After you've settled into your room, you can head to Bell Services to pick up your order or have it delivered from them to your room for a small fee.
Since Walt Disney World Resort
allows you to bring food into the parks, grocery orders are one of my favorite ways to make sure my kids have plenty of snacks and drinks when we're ready to start our day! I like to order a case of water (or two depending on how long we're staying) to take bottles with me to the parks and have on hand around our room. We also like to order individually packaged snacks like crackers, chips, granola bars, and cookies which are easy to throw into a park bag to help with "hangry" kids while we're waiting for rides, shows, or in between meals - my three boys want to eat ALL THE TIME. I also typically order some quick grab-and-go items for breakfast like muffins and bananas so some mornings we can eat quick in the room while we're heading out to rope drop our first park! Just keep in mind that most standard rooms have a small beverage cooler available when placing your order including any refrigerated items. I was just at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge last month and had plenty of room in the beverage cooler for a few bottles of water, a leftover half of a sandwich, and some of the famous Zebra Domes from
The Mara!
Of course, while it's great to have some familiar favorites on hand, dining at Disney is one of my favorite pastimes and we never miss a chance to grab a bite to eat at some of our favorite restaurants. Don't forget to check out hand features on your My Disney Experience Mobile App while in the parks such as
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering and
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability. If you're in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, I definitely recommend mobile ordering from
Satu'li Canteen in Pandora - The World of Avatar. Next to
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo (another favorite!) in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Satu'li Canteen has some of the most creative Quick-Service dining options in the parks. The Cheeseburger Steamed Pods are really good!
Laura, I hope this helps and that you enjoy a wonderful trip this month! You've got a friend in me here at planDisney and we hope you stop by to see us again real soon!
TTFN
