Hi there, Jessica! Welcome to planDisney.
I'm excited to hear that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort! No matter what time of year you visit, you're sure to have a magical vacation – and I would love to help. Let's walk through some
important details when planning to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Jessica, if you've booked a
vacation package that includes
theme park tickets and a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, you can cancel that package without penalty up to 30 days prior to your arrival date. This is also the date when the full amount is due if you don't cancel your vacation package. If you cancel within that 30-day window, you will be subject to a $200 cancellation fee (at the time of this writing, price subject to change). If you happen to cancel the day before your arrival, you will not receive a refund on your vacation package.
If you purchased your theme park tickets separately, it's important to know that these tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. This means that you won't be able to cancel them or receive a refund. But Hakuna Matata! No worries! The great news is that the value of these unused tickets can be applied towards a future date if your plans happen to change.
It also sounds like you're interested in the Travel Protection Plan! Jessica, this plan can be added to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation anytime before your final payment. The insurance benefits, including coverage, conditions, and exclusions, are state-specific. Click the link listed on the
Travel Insurance page to see the coverage available for your state!
I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today! If you have any other questions, or if I misunderstood your question, please visit us again.
You've got a friend in me!
