Hi Hunter! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
You're very lucky to be living in the Sunshine State while you're continuing your education. I have to say that I'm more than a little jealous that you're close enough to
Walt Disney World Resort to only need a day or two free to hitch a ride on Space Mountain, dine with your favorite character pals at Chef Mickey's, or be mesmerized by a dazzling nighttime spectacular like
Disney Enchantment.
As you know,
Walt Disney World has some special discounts and offers for their closest neighbors. Guests who are able to show proof of Florida Residency can often find discounts on Theme Park Tickets, Annual Passes, and sometimes even special ticket offers like those for
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney.
There are quite a few ways to show your proof of Florida residency, as stated on the Walt Disney World Resort website. If you do not have a Florida driver's license, a Florida state-issued ID card with a Florida address or a Florida-based military ID there are still ways to prove that you're a resident of the Sunshine State.
Without at least one form of ID listed above, you'll need to bring your current form of picture ID which matches the name on one of the other accepted forms of proof.
Examples of proof of Florida residency include proof of current mortgage, current homeowner's insurance policies or bills, a current utility bill or mail from a financial or government institution. For more acceptable documents please refer to the Walt Disney World website link above.
Any mail being used toward proof of Florida residency must be no more than two months old and electronic versions of bills and statements are currently accepted. You're welcome to call and speak with a Cast Member at (407) 939-7277 if you have any other specific questions.
Enjoy every moment of your time as a neighbor of The Most Magical Place on Earth!
