Hi, Elaine! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Trying to decide what to pack for your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation with little ones can be a little overwhelming, but you already have some great ideas for what to bring! Ponchos are definitely essential, but I also like to pack small travel umbrellas for quick rain showers. If you're traveling with a stroller, have an extra poncho on hand to keep it covered. Autograph books and Sharpies are a must, too.
I take a handful of Ziploc bags in various sizes for wet gear (including used cooling towels), snacks, mini first-aid kits and extra shoes. My husband, daughter and I each use a crossbody bag when we're in the Parks, and I try to package our Park bags' contents in Ziploc bags to make going through the bag check (and finding things later) a breeze. Looking through my "Mom bag," I also have a portable phone charger (and cable), extra socks, a small bottle of sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, water flavoring, a small pack of tissues, and a small golf towel. (My daughter also likes to keep an empty candy or mints container filled with quarters and pennies for the
pressed coin machines.)
The Disney Parks Blog has some
great packing tips as well as a fun
stop-motion video with packing ideas for your suitcase, Theme Park bag and Water Park bag, too.
Hopefully these tips will help you be well-prepared for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help!
