hi, I was just wondering if there were any discounts available for any of the Port Adventures on the Disney Cruise? I'm going on the Dream in May and have realised that I have spent rather a lot of money on them! Thanks

Welcome aboard, Helen-Marie! Congratulations on your upcoming Disney Dream cruise! That ship is spectacular, offering something for absolutely everyone! Even if you participated in absolutely no Port Adventures whatsoever, you'd have a very magical sailing, just experiencing all that the ship has to offer!

I'm sorry to say that I don't know of any discounts on Port Adventures, but you can certainly save a bit of money on your own if you plan ahead. My family likes to create our own discounts with Disney. When our local grocery store, Kroger, offers Double or Triple Fuel Rewards for buying gift cards, we stock up on Disney Gift cards which can be used to pay for our cruise, or toward our stateroom account, including any Port Adventures.

Since we buy the gift cards ahead of time, knowing we'll have to pay for these things on the cruise anyway, we actually save money on our gas by earning the fuel rewards at Kroger. We all need to put gas in the car, so why not save some money on those costs as you save for your cruise? Not to mention that setting a little aside in the form of gift cards each month is a lot easier to swallow than a huge account to settle on the last night of your sailing. Guest services is happy to apply your Disney gift cards to your onboard account once you're on the ship.

I hope that suggestion helps you budget for the Port Adventures you're planning, Helen-Marie. Again, though, if is still goes over-budget, you might consider only doing one Port Adventure and using the other time in port to explore on your own, or even stay on the ship and take advantage of the lower crowds at the pools or the AquaDuck! Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions as you continue to plan!
