Hi Julie,
Our family loves the convenience and ease of the Disney Dining Plan, and we have found it much easier to budget out food costs when using the plan.
Unfortunately the Disney Dining Plan does not allow credits to be traded. Therefore, a quick service credit needs to be used on a quick service meal, a table service for a table meal and so on. The exception here is two table services can be used for select signature or character dining experiences.
Occasionally, a Cast Member will allow a guest to trade remaining credits for lower tiered options, for example, a table service for a counter/quick service meal. This is however, not specified in the
Disney Dining Plan and is at the discretion of the Cast Member/Manager. We have been able to trade in remaining quick service meals for snacks but we were not allowed to trade remaining quick service for table meals as we have asked ourselves.
There are a number of fantastic counter service options throughout Disney World, so hopefully you will find quite a few that you can use those credits towards. Some of our favorites are the Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom and Colombia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom. Enjoy!
