Hi! Just wondering what the difference is between the extra magic hours that is included when you stay on Disney property vs. the Disney After Hours for $125.00? I see you get free ice cream and popcorn but just wondering what else is included?

Hi, Michele! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There are a few differences between Extra Magic Hours and Disney After Hours events. Extra Magic Hours are open to all registered guests staying at participating Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and can take place prior to regular opening hours in the morning or after regular closing hours in the evening. Extra Magic Hours are offered in at least one of the 4 theme parks each day. Be sure to check out each day’s park hours or a printed Times Guide to see when and where Extra Magic Hours are offered.

Disney After Hours event tickets may be purchased for an additional fee. These events only allow a limited number of guests into the park for a 3-hour nighttime experience at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests are able to experience popular attractions and Character Greetings with little-to-no wait times. Though the event takes place after regular park hours, those attending will be able to enjoy park admission beginning at 7pm. As you mentioned, ice cream, popcorn, and select beverages are also included with the cost of admission!

After attending Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom, I cannot recommend this event enough! It was truly magical to experience Magic Kingdom at such low capacity!

Hopefully this provides a bit more clarity on the differences between two amazing offerings!
