    I am wondering if i call and make reservations for sept. and they havent posted about free dining, will the CM tell me or are they not allowed until it is posted?

    This isn't an issue of "allowed" or "not allowed."  The CMs wouldn't be able to say anything, because they don't know if it will or won't be offered.  Unfortunately neither do we.

    Free Dining is something that Disney has done in the past, and I imagine might do in the future, but it is not guaranteed.  I can however, provide you some historical information to help you try to "forecast" what might happen in 2008 (again, please keep in mind that there might not be any more "free dining" offered)...

    In recent history, the general public dates for "free dining" packages have been:
    2005:  Aug 21 to October 4
    2006: August 13 to September 30
    2007: August 26 to September 22

    So far, the only free dining that I have heard about for 2008 are the following (offered in 2007, and no longer available):
    For UK residents:  August 10 to September 27
    "Bounceback" promotions for selected 2007 guests:  August 30 to September 27
