Hi Emma,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney; we are glad you're here! Let's get focused on your question!
Yes, you may add your professional camera to your
Disney Cruise Line packing list if you are not using it for professional purposes, which is
prohibited without written authorization. I love the idea of capturing quality photographs of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets; they will make great souvenirs for your family. You will have plenty of material to work with, that's for sure.
One of my favorite moments to photograph is as the ship docks at
Disney Castaway Cay. If your itinerary is visiting this little slice of paradise, I encourage you to wake up before the scheduled docking time and be ready to take some amazing photos. Check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or ask a Crew Member for the schedule since it is subject to change based on a variety of conditions. Another great vista is from the Observation Tower on Castaway Cay. I usually walk or rent a bike to the 40-foot tower overlooking the island.
On the ship, I recommend making your way to one of the ship's funnels. Depending on the direction you are sailing, the sunset is particularly beautiful reflecting off these icons of Disney Cruise Line. And, it makes a great spot for a family photo, because not everything in your photo album can be landscapes, right?
I hope this information exposes you to some picture-perfect moments during your cruise, Emma. Let us know if you have other questions as you plan!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
