Hello, I was wondering what is the best, least expensive way to feed a large family ( 4 adults, 4 kids) at each of the parks? We are on a tight budget. Also, we.dont qualify for the dining package, as we are not staying at a resort.

    Hi Christin,

I'm so excited to hear that your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation is HERE! I hope that you and your family have an AMAZING trip, and I'd be thrilled to share with you some tips to help you save money on your food expenses.

First, did you know that you're able to bring your own food and drink into the theme park with you? My family always packs something simple and portable for breakfast and brings it with us to eat while we wait for the theme parks to open. We also love to pack snacks and drinks, but if you'd like, you could even pack some sandwiches or something simple for a meal or two! Beyond that, though, as the mama of five myself, I do have some great money-saving suggestions. At Magic Kingdom Park, I'd suggest dining at Casey's Corner. Splitting an All-Beef Foot Long hot dog is a great way to save money! I, personally, like the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese one. Mmm... At Epcot, I'd recommend Les Halles Boulangerie-Patiesserie. Their Jambon Buerre is my favorite! At Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Ribs, Chicken and Pulled Pork Sampler at Flame Tree Barbecue is delicious and large enough for two to share, and at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the sandwiches at Woody's Lunch Box are sure to please Mouseketeers of ALL ages! Don't forget, too, that ice water is free at all Disney restaurants, so simply asking for those will save your large group quite a bit of money!

One other tip I have for you is to purchase the refillable popcorn bucket. It's so delicious, and each refill only costs a small amount, so it's the perfect snack for large families to share!

    I hope that you have a magical...and delicious...vacation, Christin!
