    Hi, I was wondering if anything at Ghirardelli  is considered a Snack on the 2012 Disney Plan. i have been to wdw 4x before and am looking for different ways to experience disney. can you tell me good place to get original snacks on the disney plan

    Hi Sandy! I'm craving ice cream now that you mentioned the Ghiradelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop in Downtown Disney! The homemade hot fudge there is so good! Unfortunately, Ghiradelli doesn't participate in the Disney Dining Plan, so you'll have to pay out-of-pocket for your snacks there. You can however find lots of unique items throughout Walt Disney World that qualify as snacks under the Dining Plan. If you're craving a sweet snack at Downtown Disney, several shops offer treats that are considered snacks on the Dining Plan. Consider going to BabyCakes NYC for a cupcake, Candy Cauldron where you can buy a chocolate-covered strawberry or pretzel, or Goofy's Candy Company for a wide range of snacks. If you're in Epcot, definitely pay a visit to Karamell-Kuche for the delicious caramels which qualify as snacks.     The unofficial website www.disboards.com has the most extensive list of snacks available on the Disney Dining Plan that I've seen. Just click on the "Disney Restaurants" forum and then the "Disney Dining Plan" forum, and you'll see the list of snacks that guests have reported purchasing this year with their Dining Plan credits. That list will give you a good idea of the many, many options you'll have for spending your snack credits. (Of course, you should always look for the Dining Plan logo and confirm that you may use your snack credit before purchasing an item.)
