i was wondering is there anyplace to get a steak or porkchop when using the quick service plan? i am on a budget being a single mom and one 5 year. i have seen chicken and burgers and simple stuff. are buffets in on the quick service or the dining?

Hi, Kay!  The quick service dining plan features counter service locations - similar to fast food restaurants at home.  Many of them offer burgers and chicken, but you can find quick service locations with other options.  I'm not sure I can find you a steak or pork chops, but I can get you out of the burger zone.

Check out the food courts at the resort hotels.  You can enjoy them whether or not you are staying there, and they are considered quick service locations.  You might find meatloaf, roast turkey dinners, grilled fish or stir fry at some of the food courts.  You'll find barbecue ribs and a variety of pastas at Coronado Springs Pepper Market.  So many other yummy choices can be found at the food courts throughout the resorts.

In the theme parks, you'll find braised pork and a steak sandwich at the brand new Be Our Guest restaurant, which is a counter service location at lunch time only.  Columbia Harbor House, also at the Magic Kingdom, has grilled salmon and fish and chips.

Beef teriyaki is featured at Katsura Grill in the Japan pavilion at EPCOT.  If you like Chinese, you can get shrimp fried rice and egg roll at the Lotus Blossom cafe.  You'll also find fish and chips and shawarma platters at other areas of EPCOT.

You can see all of the menus pretty easily without committing to a restaurant, but I think you'll be able to find something more than burgers and chicken nuggets without too much effort.  Browse the menus available at allears.net to get an idea of places you might like to try!
