Hi Randi,
Welcome to planDisney! The holiday season is extra magical at Disney World. I love seeing all of the decorations, eating the special food items, and attending the themed events. I actually just stopped by Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa this past weekend and can confirm that the holidays are already in full swing there. The tree is up, the gingerbread house is fully decorated and serving delicious treats, and you can fully immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit.
We love taking a stroll around all of the Disney Resort hotels on the monorail to see how the spirit of Christmas is captured in completely different ways at each one of these magnificently themed resorts. While exploring the themed decorations, I like to grab a bite to eat or a drink at each of these Resort hotels. At
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I always stop by Kona Island for my favorite Caramel Macchiato at Disney World or to grab a Dole Whip! It is one of the only places outside of Magic Kingdom you can get this iconic treat! I like to stop at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in the evening for a nightcap at the Enchanted Rose! They have fabulous snacks and drinks, and it is the perfect way to end a Magic Kingdom day. As the monorail glides through
Disney's Contemporary Resort, my mouth waters thinking about the bakery treats at the Contempo Cafe! There is also some fabulous shopping at the Contemporary Resort, especially if you are looking for Christmas presents for little ones.
During your visit, don't forget to check out
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! This event is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The decorations are gorgeous, the parade features Santa Claus alongside your Disney favorites, and there is even snow on Main Street to fully set the mood.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
