I was wondering if “Re-Discovering America: Family Treasures from the Kinsey Collection,” is still at the American Pavillion in Epcot? Is so, where is it located? I would love to see it! It sounds so very interesting and educational!

    Hello Joan,

Thank you for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, our history is what defines us and is something we all need to learn from in order to redefine our future. After reading your question, about The Kinsey Collection, please visit thekinseycollection.com for more information about the family and their contributions to American History, I am very pleased to inform you, Bernard and Shirley Kinsey have graciously loaned their powerful collection to Walt Disney World until March of 2016.

The American Heritage Gallery, located in The American Adventure building at Epcot's World Showcase, plays host to some amazing artifacts of African-American history dating as far back as the 17th century. Re-Discovering America: Family Treasures from the Kinsey Collection is an exhibit of books, manuscripts, artwork and interactive displays bringing the stories of African-American history to life in a memorable and everlasting experience. Entrance, to this exhibit, is included in your Epcot admission.

While so many Guests, think of Walt Disney World, as a place of pixie dust and Disney Characters, this is a wonderful opportunity to remind Guests, visiting Walt Disney World, there is so much more to be discovered at this wonderful place. Enjoy this memorable collection and may your upcoming stay be filled with magical moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
