About Me

My life has always been an adventure. I grew up in Richmond, VA in the ballet world and continued my passion for dance by receiving a B.S. in Dance, at Radford University. After graduation, I auditioned for Walt Disney World and was privileged to be cast as a parade performer, along with other roles, during Magic Kingdom's 25th Anniversary celebration. Performing in the Remember the Magic Parade,  Christmas Parade, Easter Parade and on the Cinderella Castle stage, lit a passion for Disney in my heart. I was making Disney Magic for thousands of Guests every day and it was humbling and awe-inspiring, a dream come true.

After retiring from Disney, I moved to Northern Virginia where I married my college sweetheart, had two beautiful children and taught ballet for many years. I enjoyed inspiring young dancers to pursue their hopes and wishes. Not long after I left the dance world, I proudly wore the badge of a Cancer Fighter, Survivor and more importantly Thriver. This time in my life taught me much. One such realization was I still had more dreams to make come true. In my mid-40's, I decided on a career change and entered cosmetology school, while also becoming an apprentice, at a local salon.  Nowadays I am a licensed cosmetologist and have a great clientele. I am happy and excited to see what will come next because you are never too old to make your dreams come true and I am once again humble and awe-inspired to help spread more Disney Magic, as a panelist, with planDisney.

About My Family

My family is important to me. Kylie is my 18-year-old, who is getting ready to start her own adventure in life, at college next year. She is in love with Peter Pan and truly has the magic of Disney in her heart. Christian is my 15-year-old history buff. His interests are unique and inspiring and I am excited to see what the future holds for him. They both make me proud every day to be their mother. Chris is my hardworking, fabulously handsome husband of 21 years. Our family isn't perfect, but I wouldn't change our imperfections for anything. It's what make us unique and what defines us as a "true" family. Hmmmmm? Sounds like some other Disney movies I have seen. I look forward to whatever bumpy roads we will travel and conquer together.

About My Disney Experience

I always loved Walt Disney for his endless imagination and dreams that even now are still coming to light. I am blessed to not only have been a guest at Walt Disney World on several occasions, but a parade Cast Member as well during its 25th Anniversary. And wow, what a time to work there! There truly is something about each time I step onto Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom. Special memories of trips past, or parades performed, usually pop into my mind. It is always such a nostalgic feeling. I love that I can reflect on a different time of my life — where I was, who I was with and what I was doing — each time I walk that magical street. Walt Disney World has and will continue to be my own personal time capsule of what was and is important in my life during each visit or performance. I am thankful that I now have the opportunity, planDisney, to help guide other guests towards their magical moments and memories that will truly last them a lifetime *o*
