I was wondering if you have any advice on where we could relax at magic kingdom, i know my daughter will want to take a break after alot of walking. I would hate to have to leave the park and return later in the evening for the parade/fireworks.

    Hi Shannon,

Great idea to plan in plenty of time to relax as the days can be very long and tiring at the Disney parks. If you are staying at a Disney resort, and arrive ealry in the morning, you may want to still plan in a few hours to return to your resort and relax or swim before heading back for you evening adventures.

If you want to stay at the park the entire day and evening, which is the style I like, there are a number of places you can get out of the sun and relax. First off, most of the attractions are inside and air-conditioned and involve sitting so hopefully you will be resting continuously throughout the day. Outside of attractions, there are also a few quick service locations (Peco Bill's, Columbia Harbour House and our favorites, Cosmic Ray's (with aline entertainment) and indoors at Casey's (where you can enjoy cartoons), that are perfect to stop and enjoy a cold drink, a yummy snack and a place to sit.

Our absolute favorite spots for a break is the Carousel of Progress, The Hall of Presidents and Country Bear Jamboree. All of these are animotronic stage shows with darkened theaters, cool temps and comfy seats. But wait...I have saved my absolute favorite for last...hidden behind the Kodak Camera shop at the front of Main Street, is a small theatre that runs a continuous loop of original Walt Disney cartoons. The seats are comfortable and few guests ever venture back there so it is peaceful.

Hope these spots help keep your feet rested and your energy level high. Have a great time!
