hi! wondering abt rope drops at ea park. We have ADR before open at ea park on diff days. Will we miss the rope drops? Is there one at ea park ea day? any "last minute" advice on parades, night shows, best place to site...when to get a spot...

    Hi Danielle!

My family and I always make sure that we attend Rope Drop at one of the theme parks during each of our vacations!  It is a wonderful way to be welcomed into the Walt Disney World theme parks. Rope drop ceremonies occur every day at each of the theme parks, usually 10-15 prior to official opening time.  Although you may have dining experiences which occur during the same time, the traditional "shows" which occurred during rope drop at Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios are no longer performed.  Instead there is more of a Cast Member presence guiding guest to their attraction of choice.  At MK, there is still an opening ceremony of sorts where the character arrive at the entrance of MK on the Walt Disney World railroad, and confetti and streamers blast onto the crowd...pretty cool!

As for last minute advice...my best suggestion is to make sure you take the time to look around!  There are so many unique touches that Disney Imagineers place in the theme parks, and in our rush to get to the attractions, we miss these!  Also, make sure you see Wishes and the Celebrate the Magic pre show.  A great viewing area for this is either on the walkway from Main Street, USA to Frontierland (right in front of Crystal Palace) or the small bridge from the hub to Liberty Square.  At Hollywood Studios, you should try to see Fantasmic! The second viewing is much less crowded then the first.  Illuminations, Reflections of Earth,  at Epcot is my favorite fireworks spectacular pectacular, and a great viewing area is located on the steps right in front of the Italy pavilion!

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
