Hello, I am just wondering if we are able to do character dining without a ticket to the park? We have a 3 day park hoper ticket, however we are concerned going to breakfast at 8.50am would limit the hours we have to spend at the park.

    Hi Sharon,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Character Dining is such a fun way to meet several Disney Characters while enjoying a delicious meal. In order to eat at a Character Dining experience within a theme park, you will need a theme park ticket for park entry. However, you can dine at one of the Character Dining experiences located in a Disney Resort hotel without needing a theme park ticket.

I can certainly understand your concern in wanting to make sure you are able to use your valuable park time experiencing the attractions and other park offerings rather than sitting at a Table-Service restaurant. My strategy has always been to book Character Dining breakfasts at a Disney Resort hotel on a non-park day or make an Advanced Dining Reservation for a lunch or dinner when we are ready to take a break from park touring.

I hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Sharon!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
